I am the wife of a true Southern Gentleman! He makes me laugh, holds me close and loves me deeply – I am blessed to be married to him!  We seek to live a simple, self-sufficient life as we depend on our Father for His direction and His grace.

“But we urge you, brethren, that you increase more and more; that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing. I Thes.4:10-12

May Yahweh grant us the grace to live passionately, yet simply, for Him!

I am a daughter of The King of Kings! I study the Torah along with the rest of the Old Covenant and the Renewed Covenant.  I pray.  I am thankful to Yahweh for my life and everything in it, for each day and what it brings. I am learning that it is all good.

I love the Father and I love His Son! I read “The Scriptures” and like to research the original Hebrew. I attend the most awesome church in the world.

I believe we should follow His righteous instructions and am thankful for His grace when we fail.

I celebrate Shabbat and His feasts…our “dress rehearsals”! I am learning Hebrew…sslooowwly….

I keep a gratitude journal! It helps me keep my focus on Him and how His blessings are ever before me…if only I have eyes to see them!

I am mama to 4 awesome young men! I have one son at home and three married sons close by. I am daughter to my mama (who lives with us!), am aunt to my niece Makayla and mama-in-law to the lovely women who married my sons. I love to spend time with my sons (and daughters!) … I admire and enjoy them all – they are amazing!

I am Mimi to my adorable grandchildren and am blessed that my daughters generously share them with us each week.

I love essential oils and I use them every day!  I cook and clean with them, purify the air with them ingest them, apply them topically and use them to keep our family happy and healthy!

I have home schooled for 28 years! I retired May 13, 2016!

I pray.

We own a farm, have beef cows, milk cows, chickens, goats, bees, cats, dogs and guinea hens.

I am a second-generation soap maker.

I am glad I was raised in the south, it’s a kinder and gentler place 🙂 I love southern sweet tea (thank goodness for stevia!) I bake bread, make cereal, churn butter, make cheese and cook most everything from scratch.

I once helped butcher a cow and still help butcher chickens each year. I’ve worked bees, helped birth farm babies, helped do field surgery, tubed goats, buried animals I’ve loved and loved on new babies each spring.

Goat babies are the cutest creatures on the farm.

I would like to learn how to spin yarn, weave on a loom, crochet and knit.

I love to scrapbook…there’s just so little time.

I enjoy digging in the dirt, growing a big garden and “putting up” the bounty.

I don’t like to shop (except for garage sales and farm stores). I follow Dave Ramsey’s teachings.

I love to cook – especially for those I love.  For southern women, feeding people is a love language!

I pray.

I am an organizational junkie – I think it is one of my gifts! Spreadsheets are my friends!

I love to laugh.

I’m lost without my Ipad – it’s my other brain.

I am passionate about herbs. I am a second generation (at least!) herbalist. I’ve been studying and using herbs medicinally for over 35 years. I remember as a small child, my Aunt Annie going to her garden, picking herbs and making a delicious tea that settled my tummy!

I am a tea drinker.

Fall is my favorite season.

I have been a foster mom. Did I mention that I pray?

I like to milk goats but not cows. I don’t like to work the bees. I like to sit under the tree on a hot afternoon and enjoy homemade lemonade. I love to work in the greenhouse.

I don’t watch cable or network T.V. ~ ever. I love to read but don’t have as much time as I’d like. I’ve been known to wake my boys in the middle of the night to look at stars. I relish a hammock. I like to write. I wish I could paint (not walls…pictures).

I have amazing friends.

I have a hard time doing nothing.

I am an optimist.

I make mistakes often.

I am learning to see my Father in all things and to give Him glory in all things.

I am broken and bruised.

I am a sinner saved by grace.
